    Who's in this issue?
  • Jubilee
  • A Sentinel
  • Wolverine

A decent issue. Come to think of it, this is probably the last adventure Wolverine will have with Jubilee for awhile. It's interesting to see how this Sentinel that had just been reactivated can be so sure of its own mission after overriding its primary mission (which was to eradicate all mutants to protect humans). At times, I also do find myself wondering how easy it is that Logan and Jubilee could still have a chance in defeating not only this one Sentinel, but many others, too. It's also fun to watch how Jubilee's powers are manifesting itself and she can obtain that extra kick by drawing from her anger against the murder of her parents. Not a whole lot to talk about in this book.

  • WOLVERINE #73:
    "The Formicary Mound!"

With Jubilee in one hand, the Sentinel travels back in time. Logan gives chase to the same time period that the Sentinel has entered. There, Logan is able to free Jubilee, but as a result, he is blasted by an energy beam from the Sentinel, hurting him badly. Jubilee unleashes a full-blast against it, blowing part of the Sentinel's face away, but at a great toll on Jubilee's own strength. She faints. The Sentinel finds it curious how Jubilee would want to save Wolverine, but disregards that thought to tend to more urgent matters: reawakening the Sentinels and to prepare to activate a solar flare that would sterilize the entire planets of not only mutants but of humans too.

After regaining consciousness, Jubilee drags a hurt, but slowly healing, Wolverine with her to fight the Sentinel and prevent it from initiating the blast that would cause the solar flare that would sterilize the entire planet. In the meantime, she keeps having thoughts about going back in time to stop Reno and Molokai before they kill her parents. Wolverine though is firm about not letting her do that because it would change everything that would happen after that (the principle of altering the past would change the future). Inside, they immediately attack the Sentinel who is about to charge up the weapon to initiate the solar flare. Little do they know that this sentinel had activated four other sentinels to help and protect it.
