But they did make a good excuse as to why Logan would one minute be in New York City and the next minute on a cruise ship. Artwork is okay by Larry Stroman, but my only complaint is at the very end...the picture of Gretchen was just a bit too shocking for me. You know, the type that will give you nightmares if you saw the picture at 3AM in the morning while in bed reading. Overall, though, this was an okay book. Some stuff that occurs in it seems a bit impossible (i.e. an eternal creature dying by the cruise ship's main propellers shredding it), but nevertheless, it was okay. Cool cover artwork, too. "Babes at Sea" IN THIS ISSUE: For an entire week, Logan was having weird dreams about ghost babies asking for help and a cruise ship that was beckoning him to come aboard on. And the next thing he knows, he's on a cruise ship that he had seen in his dreams, and was still having the same dreams. Logan still wonders why he's on this three-day cruise to nowhere, but his dreams that he was having was too precise in what ship he was to be on, so he had to follow his instincts to find out why it was so important. While walking on the deck of the cruise ship, out near the pool, he meets three single mothers-to-be: Brenda, Rachel, and Gretchen, who were debating on what to name a boy. As Logan continues his walk, he can't help to shake off the feeling that there had been something that was watching them. Next thing he knows, people were screaming, and they discovered Rachel in the pool surrounded by a sea of blood. Logan dives in, and encounters this creature he had never seen before. As he breaks for the surface, he manages to get one good swipe of the creature, but the creautre retaliates with a hard fist, allowing it to escape. Logan manages to get out, but there was nothing they could do for Rachel since her jugular vein had been severed. To be safe, Logan tells Brenda and Gretchen to stay in their rooms, since he suspected that one of them had the baby that the monster was out to kill. Donned in his Wolverine outfit, Logan roams through the ship, looking for the monster. Finding nothing, he returns back to check up on them. Little did he know, Brenda had been captured by the monster. The scream that echoed from her came from an elevator. Logan breaks into it, and above the elevator, he discovers her dead and gutted by the monster. He finds the monster on another elevator car top, but as they fight, Logan accidently slices the elevator cables, sending the car down, killing the two people in it and allowing the monster to escape. But the ghost baby still haunted Logan. Quickly, he rushes to Gretchen's room. He gets there just in time before the monster was able to kill her. He hurls himself at the monster, sending him and it to the ocean. They continue their fight below, but Logan uses the ship's propellors to his advantage by punching this monster into the ship's propellors, slicing it to bits. |
