I'm not sure what you think, but in my opinion, just one look at the cover art by the ever-popular X-Men artist Jim Lee told me "This is THE book I had to get!" Storyline's a new one, since it's the first part of the story "The Lazarus Project". Pretty good so far, especially with a machine that seems indestructible, even against adamantium. Well-recommended. Rating (from 1 dot (not recommended) to 5 dot (highly recommended) |
"The Lazarus Project Pt. I: Predators and Prey!" IN THIS ISSUE: It's just another average day in Madripoor where Logan and Tyger Tiger, on their way to a bar in Lowtown Madripoor, is attacked by a few hoodlums. After kicking a few butts by Logan, along with some help by Karma and Tyger Tiger, they had no trouble in defeating these street hoodlums. Back at the Princess Bar where Logan and Tyger Tiger arrives, they meed McCabe and Drew in there. On an island off the coast of Madripoor, a village known as Rumika exists there. There, two military personnels were talking to the leaders of the village there about asking for help, for these people there had some kind of special abilities. In a room, Gen. Coy was discussing some matters with Broker about something called the Lazarus Project, and that the people on Rumika were the key to it. Back at the palace, Drew does some investigation of her own. In a room, she discovers a person called Doctor Page, who upon discovering Drew as an intruder, activates "Pinocchio", a robot. Later, we see Drew stumbling on the street, hurt badly. Logan helps her from a bunch of potential hoodlums. Logan has Drew and McCabe for their safety flown back to the states while he investigates this matter further. He heads over to the palace in his Wolverine outfit, only to be attacked by the robot there. Logan hopes the robot was not made of adamantium, but yet, even when he tries to slice at it, it doesn't cut! The doctor throws some type of liquid onto Logan which paralyzes him temporary, and the robot throws Logan out of the window, where Logan stumbles into the water, still in pain! |
