About Genesis | The son of Cable (leader of
X-Force), he was first referenced to in New Mutants #98under
the name Mister Tolliver. His first actual appearance (faceless, in
trenchcoat) was in X-Force #10, and he "died" in X-Force
#15. He appeared later as a young Tyler in Cable #1, and
later as old Tyler in Cable #6. His first appearance as
Genesis was Cable #17. As Genesis, he attempted to infuse
Cyber's adamantium into Wolverine (Wolverine #100) in an
attempt to make him his next Dark Horseman of Death for Apocalypse.
But, Logan's body rejected it, sending adamantium shrapnel
everywhere. It caused Wolverine to become a man-beast, whose mind and
body did not resemble the Wolverine we had grown accustomed to.
Genesis got a major lashing from Wolverine, and was trashed very
