"These blood-suckers are part of another try at Weapon X Super-Soldiers. My pal Jim Hudson informed me that some Canadian officials own some business here that they used to dupe the government. They are turning the best US operatives into superhuman fighting machines. The unfortunate side-affect of this is an apparent pseudo-vampirism that can lead to psychosis." Wolverine grinned bitterly as he puffed at his cigarillo. "And now Weapon X is giving us Canucks a bad name by cutting their losses and letting these punks terrorize Gotham here." Batman nodded. The two heroes had left the vampires in the care of SHIELD to undo the serum's influence. They had taken the Batmobile towards IntelleKt's site of main experimentation. "Nice wheels, Bats." Logan smiled. "How many vamps we talkin'?" "About a dozen more." Batman said. They leapt out of the car and began a hike toward the building.

"The rest should be holin' up in here alright. I can smell'em." Wolvie said sniffing the air. "Be careful where you wave your claws. These men are innocents who aren't acting under their own resolve." Batman let out. SNIKT "Don't worry, I'll play nice only cause one of these marines is an acquaintance of mine." Wolverine used his claws to scale the wall. Batman fired a grapple hook and followed Wolvie. The duo made it to the roof only to find the vampires waiting. Wolverine recognized one of them right away. He gave two punches with is metal-laced fists. It barely knocked him out. "Sorry Harry, but it's for your own good." He dropped the limp body only to see one of the vamps fire away with a machine gun. Batman somersaulted through the air. He tossed two more gas bombs. Stealthily, Wolverine tackled the gun user. Batman gave a judo toss to one the vamps. He did not see a bladed-figure leap at him from behind. "Wolverine! What are you doing?" Batman hollered. "behind you Einstein! " Wolvie said taking out a vampire behind Batman.

The two heroes finished tying up the vampires and waited for SHIELD to show up and take care of the loose ends. "I'd like to thank you for all the help you gave me, Wolverine. I hope we can work together again someday." Batman began. However, Wolverine was not on the roof. He was gone. "Now I know what it's like when the shoe's on the other foot." Batman grinned as the SHIELD Agents came in. They would also be after the renegade Weapon X owners of IntelleKt.

Logan put on his cowboy hat and leather jacket, duffel bag under his arm. He stepped into the phone booth to make a quick call to Jim Hudson. He finished the call and stepped out, a smile on his face as dawn came up.
