Limbo is a demonic dimension where magic and evil flourish. It was once ruled by Rahne's former teammate Illyana Rasputin--aka Magik, the Darkchilde.

Limbo is filled with 2-d circles of light called "stepping discs" that will teleport whoever steps onto one. The discs send the traveler through time as well as space. Some of them lead back to earth, some lead to other places in Limbo. Because of these discs, it is easy for one to be lost forever in Limbo and eventually become corrupted by its evil nature.
There is no sun in Limbo, but there is a sky. It is unclear whether day and night are the same there as they are here.
Demons and sorcerors have fought for dominion over Limbo. It is filled with sundry demons, who live only to cause humans pain. Many of the beings in Limbo are infected with the techno-organic virus. This virus transforms the victims body into living circuitry. Those infected with the virus can take any shape they choose, at will. They feed on other living things by infecting them with the virus, then draining their life energy.
