Chapter 11 - Getting to know one's family or - Didn't see that one coming

"Professor?"

"Yes, Beast?" Beast looked surprise.

"Well, you know how you told me to check Warrior X's blood?"

"Yes."

"Well, he's Logan's son." The professor had predicted as much.

"Hmm. I guess we should tell them when they get back."

He didn't know why the Professor had called them in, but he was nervous. The fight against Sinister's men had gone exceptionally well.

"You called us Chuck?"

"Yes Logan, there is something very important we need to discuss. There is no other way to say this. Today, Beast got the results back from Ethan's blood test. Logan, he's your son."

"My SON!?!?" <I have a kid?!?!>

"My DAD!?!?"

"Who was your mom, Ethan?"

"Her name was...Mom, but I think people called her ... Lisa. And my dad disappeared a week after they met."

--------

Hey, you're one of those freaks. I don't want your kind in my store. Get out!" He heard some of his least favorite words being spoken.

"Mister, all I need is some medicine for my mom, please." He had come around the corner to see a young very attractive, black haired, blue eyed girl pleading with the owner. Then he saw three 20-something guys heading toward her. Evidently she had flew up to grab some medicine of the top shelf.

"Why don't we just the lady outside? It's obvious that this guy don't want freaks around, babe. Then maybe we can see if you freaks are 'gifted' in any other ways." The first man started to approach the girl.

"I don't think the ladies finished her business yet. And you won't have to escort her out. Thanks anyways bub."

"Who asked you, old man?"

"No one, just doing a good deed." The first one started to move towards the man but was stopped abruptly when the man, out of nowhere threw a wicked right into the guys face. The other two were fast but not nearly as fast as the man. He turned and took one down with a right-legged kick to the knee. The leader had drawn a pistol but before he could bring it up to aim, the man had knocked it away. The leader shrank in fear.

"Please don't hurt me!"

"You're a disgusting excuse for a man" and with that he picked him up and threw him through the front window. The owner stood there in shock.

"You were getting the lady's medicine?" The man turned, facing the owner, his voice very matter of fact.

"Y...eah, here you go." He handed here a bottle of prescription medicine.

"I hope there is no more trouble here with this girl. Or I might come back and you, being the owner, that would make you responsible."

"Thank you." Man, she was beautiful! ... stop that man, remember Yuriko? Now, one thing led to another and he ended up going to her house. One way or another two lonely people wound up in each other's arms.

--------

--------

He wanted to say good-bye at least but theirs orders had them leaving now with no stops. It was yet another important mission. But he would be back after all. He didn't know that this mission would end up in him having an adamantium skeleton.

--------

"Ethan, some of my memories o' your mom have returned. And I'd like to say it wasn't my choice to disappear. But that's when I got these [schlikt], against my will. And I didn't know she was pregnant. But you see, there is only one problem: if you're mine and Lisa's son, you would be 'bout 45 years old."

"Actually, that would make sense," the Professor added.

"How? I only remember being alive for fifteen years."

"Well, perhaps like Logan, your healing factor allows you to age at a very low speed. As far as the memories, I believe that, like they did in Logan, they implanted your mind with ... implants."

"What!?!? Implants?" This was all happening way too fast.

"Implants in your mind, adding and erasing memories in your mind."

"So your saying that all my memories are false?"

"No, just a lot may have been cut out and maybe a few added. But more are less the things you can remember, happened. However, while you're here, I can see what I can do about those memories."

Chapter 12 - Gen X

"Hello Jubilation, Ev, Angelo, Paige, Jono, Mondo, Monet."

"Oh, hi Ethan you lived through your first X-battle I see." The only one in the room that noticed that Jubilee didn't immediately correct him for calling her Jubilation was Everett. <But I seem to notice what Jubes has been saying. And what she's been doing. And how she walks. And how when she's not wearing that trench coat how great her shapely ...>

<"Everett, would you please stop projecting your thoughts so loud? Telepaths that are dead and 6 feet under, halfway across the world probably heard you.">

<"Uhh ... sorry Mrs. Summers. I won't let it happen again.">

<"See that you don't. And Everett, hurry up and ask that girl out.">

Meanwhile back in the land called the Rec.-room ...

"Hey Ethan, we were just 'bout to stick in Spaceballs, want to join us?" Jubilee said with a snap of her gum.

"Are you kidding? Spaceballs is like my favorite movie."

Author's note: [ Okay this is the deal. I was running out of time before I left for 3 weeks sooooo I didn't actually write what I wanted to in this chapter. Basically it shows how Ethan while he has a quick trigger and a pretty scary glare, he's basically a very funny easy going guy. In this chapter he kind of bonds with Generation X. He playfully jokes with them etc. That's about the gist of it, and now I will ask you to do something unbelievable. Use your imagination. Come on I know you got one.]
