"Professor, I have the test results. It seems Logan's new power is a natural mutation. A latent ability that, like the claws, was merrily brought into the open by the re-bonding process."
"Go on."
"It seems that the new removable claws are not the only thing different about Logan." Beast had been running tests for awhile.
"Like?"
"Well, of course you know about the implants and blocks in his mind being gone, and that now he can fire his claws attached to a very small, but very strong, adamantium chain. You also know that the adamantium that Richard and company installed is the new adamatium that is just over half the weight and 1 and 1/2 times stronger than before. It also seems that a small amount of gamma that they had to use, has bonded with his mutant blood. Basically he is now a whole, whole lot stronger, and half a foot taller." <Logan, a man that could have been an almost unstoppable killing machine was now more powerful than ever. And had hardly any memory.>
He smiled. It was a horrifying, fang filled, evil smile. He would finish it once and for all. With Sinister and the Marauders keeping the rest of them busy, he would finally kill the old man. <It's time to finish it ... father.>
--------
<Runt, huh, can't keep up, liability to the tribe. They're going to regret that. I'm stronger then all of them. I'll make it across the great water. I'll find a new land, one where I'll be treated like a man.>
Although no one knows it, the American continent were discovered far before even the Vikings. And through the knowledge of the first people (after the Indians) to discover the continent, a young Indian boy that would be known as Logan made it across a huge body of water that would later be named the Pacific. He would make it to a land that later would be called China. He stayed several years, training in the ways of the Oriental masters. However, the boy was never content staying in one place for long. He moved all around Asia until he finally arrived in the war-torn country of Troy, during the famous Trojan War. He continued to travel, fight, and learn. From Japan to the bottom of Africa to the top of the British Isles.

"MOVE IT ROOKIE!" They had been going at this for quite some time. Wolverine had been running Warrior X through drills.
"Let me give you a word of wisdom ... it's one of the reasons I'm such a good weapon, and I want you to remember this: no matter how strong they are, adamantium WILL go through them." Hence Wolverine was known as Weapon X, a killing machine. Anyone could see Logan was still a good fighter and his recent time as an animal combined with the fact that the adamantuim wasn't so cumbersome had helped his agility greatly. In fact, he moved a lot like Beast. But in his head Logan was swearing at himself. <I keep just barely catching myself from going berserk. The loss of my adamantium was not the reason I regressed. The fact that in my mind I lost my humanity was the reason I regressed.>
"Everyone to the Blackbird, on the double. Sinister's up to his old tricks."
"Guess that means you're off the hook, let's move."
Chapter 10 - Da Battle"We're going in for a landing. Sinister's bunch should be due east. Stick together everyone." Scott, as usual, gave the orders as they landed.
"Stick with me, kid." Yes, Logan was definitely getting better. They found Sinister and his men right were they expected them. Cyclops opened the ball with a optic blast, knocking Harpoon out of commission. Gambit followed up with two cards that hit Scalphunter. Rogue came flying down landing a wicked blow to Riptide, knocking him down as the Iceman froze Vertigo in her tracks. Meanwhile Warrior X was showing that he could hold his weight in a fight. He had ended up with Blockbuster. Blockbuster just wasn't a match. Warrior X slammed him up against a tree, giving him two good kicks before slamming his head against the tree. He picked him up and hurled him towards Scalphunter. Basically all in all the X-Men were whooping ass. As Logan turned to make sure Ethan was okay, that's when he saw him.
"Grr ... Sabretooth."
"So nice of you to remember me ... dad. Yes that's right I know. Sinister informed me, although I'm not sure how he found out." Sabretooth was edging him: he wanted to finish this. Logan, who for the last few days had managed to hold the animal rage inside, could no longer do so.
"Ahhrraaa!" Logan came at him with a left-clawed hand that Sabretooth ducked under, responding with an uppercut that was blocked.
"WHAT!?!? Adamantium?!?" Sabretooth had not been informed of his father's condition. That moment of surprise, that pause, gave Wolverine the advantage, and he did not waste it, as he kicked Sabretooth in the knee and followed up with a clawed backhand to the face that caused Sabretooth to roar with pain. Wolverine cut him again, deep in his abdominal before moving. He did a forward flip into the air, twisting at the top of his jump, and came down, landing two good cuts to Sabretooth before he was in a good position to fight. By this time Logan had moved again and grabbed Sabretooth by the arm, throwing him against a solid concrete wall, dislocating his shoulder. He cut Sabretooth several more times, roaring, losing control, until he lied head first against the wall, barely breathing. Logan raised his right hand preparing for the blow that would end it all.
--------
Logan held his new born baby boy in his arms. His child. <I'm a dad!> He looked so weak and defenseless. Like he needed Logan to protect him. <I'll never let any one hurt you. I'll protect you. I love you, you're MY SON.>
--------
He couldn't do it. He got up and took one last look at his son and wondered what he'd done wrong. <I'm sorry I failed you son.> And with that he turned and walked away.
