"Good morning, Ethan" He thought the Professor had said her name was Storm. She was as he had hoped for yet again another woman with supermodel-type looks. <Yes! So far so good. Maybe all the mutant chicks here are drop dead gorgeous.>
"Morning." He had entered the room at 6:29:42 exactly. He was already dressed: he had borrowed some old clothes, mainly due to the fact his were fairly ripped up. A pair of Levis and a sweat shirt, things that were needed in this cold weather. But it was his eyes that Storm was drawn to. Such a mixture of things she had never seen, she could not describe them.
"If you feel like waiting for an hour, today is Bobby's turn to cook breakfast. If not, bowls are over there. There is some cereal there. But if you'd like to make yourself eggs or anything, feel free."
"Do you know when training for us newbys start?" She was startled by him using a derogatory name for him and his classmates.
"Training starts at 8:30. It usually starts with a little light workout. Then you hit the books for a while before ability training." <Ability training, that was a nice way to put it.>
"This is very interesting indeed." the Professor had felt something happen, but had just been told what. "Do any of you have any ideas on what caused this?" Logan and Jean both answered with looks of "I don't know" and shook their heads.
"Well I don't have any solid ideas, but I'm sure that it is some kind of reaction to the re-bonding process. I would like to run some tests, if that's ok with you." Beast was always ready for experiment.
"Yeah, it's okay with me." Logan answered reluctantly.
--------
"Sir Logan, I am glad you could come. I am in need of your services again my bravest warrior." The noble one was dressed in a graceful 6th century apparel and chain-link armor.
"Of course. What do you want from me, Arthur?"
"We are attacking France, and I need your help to win."
"Why do you need my help? I am but one man."
"Yes but your strength is that of 50 men. No one has fought you and won."
--------
<You losing your marbles, bub. I must be going screwy. I just remembered having a meeting with King Arthur. Sure that makes sense, he died way before I was born. Didn't he? Well when was I born? I can't remember. But I couldn't be over 1,000 years old. Could I? But yet I've been remembering things that happened long ago. Could I be an External? No I'm sure I'm not. Just ... old?>
He was surrounded. Four Sentinels were closing in on the 15 year old boy. <Lets see if they're more friendly to my other self.>
In a blaze of light he had changed to a mutant capable of amazing feats. He was off the ground in an instant, partially destroying one Sentinel's leg and another's arm before hitting a third at full speed, shoulder first, sending the robot to the ground. The Sentinels recovered quickly, but not quick enough as Ethan had already ripped through the third Sentinel's main circuitry, leaving it a pile a metal on the floor. His tail whipped around, hitting the first Sentinel's good leg, sending him down. The first and second Sentinels bombarded him with lazer shots, one hitting Warrior X head on. His healing factor kicked in immediately, and so did his reaction. He twisted in midair, after he had been sent flying by the shot, and kicked off the wall, sending himself like a bullet into the second Sentinel, tearing into it with his feet and claws. <Two down, two to go.> He did a back flip off the Sentinel, and as he landed, he was hit by two lasers sending him against the wall. He turned and jumped, hitting the first Sentinel on the head with his adamantium-clawed feet, literally ripping right through it. <One left,> he thought, but was suddenly lifted off his feet by the robot.
"Big mistake, rust bucket." Ethan ripped through the Sentinel's hand by forcing his arms, feet, and claws apart. He did not remain suspended in the air for long. He grabbed the Sentinel's shattered remains of an arm and threw the robot against the wall with such force it did not get up.
"Very good Ethan" exclaimed the Professor as the doors to the Danger Room opened. "But you did get hit three times, and grabbed once." Ethan started to protest. "But you managed to overcome that."
"Stop sugar coating the truth Chuck" <I thought Logan was still in the infirmary.> "The kid needs training. He should have beaten that program a lot easier, with his kind of powers." Logan was never satisfied by "good enough" and if this kid was going to be trained by him, he'd have to get use to it.
--------
"He has a lot of potential. He is the first I have found that is of a superior race to the mere humans." Logan overheard, but did not open his eyes. <Whoever did this is going to have a long talk with my fists.>
"Our instruments tell us he is far from reaching his potential"
"Of that I have no doubt. But he has over a thousand years to reach it. And with a helping hand from me he will be the mightiest of my Horsemen, and perhaps the first. The pitiful humans can not stop the inevitable. And neither can my free-spirited, future slave."
--------
--------
"Ahhhrr" Logan leaped into the invincible one, hitting him with everything he could muster. "I won't let you kill 'em!"
"You have no choice. You cannot stop me, my Horseman. I cannot be destroyed; I am immortal."
"We'll see 'bout that. And I am not your Horseman. Now shut up and fight, you egotistical asshole." But as much as Logan fought, HE was right. Logan could not stop HIM. In front of the unconscious Logan, his friends were killed. HE had won again.
"You can not stop the inevitable. You can not stop the oncoming Apocalypse."
