The story so far. Wolverine after having his adamantium ripped out by Magneto found out his claws were a natural mutation and had just been covered in adamantium. He was then transformed into a more beast-like state by Genesis, during a attempt to re-fuse Wolverine's skeleton with adamantium. He has recently been captured by a man calling himself "Reincarnation". He is no longer Logan or a member of the X-Men, but a mindless slave, thirsty for blood. The current active members of the X-Men stationed at the mansion are Cyclops, Jean, Storm, Bishop, Beast, Gambit, Rogue, Archangel, Psylocke, Cannonball, Marrow, Cecila, and Iceman.

It was not a nice night to be taking a walk. It was cloudy, rainy, cold, and all around down right miserable. But he was on a mission, he owed someone.

Year 3989AD-

As he got to the top of the hill overlooking his home, his worst nightmare was staring him in the face. His home in ashes and he saw dead bodies on the ground.

"NNOOOOO!!!!!!" he yelled as he ran for his home. Then to his surprise and joy he saw his wife and son.

"You're alive, I was so afraid!" he said as he embraced them. "What happened?"

So they told him the story of what had occured. Apparently they were attacked by Apocalypse's men when a stranger appeared. He was short and extremely well built for a person who was probably in his 50's, but the feature that stood out about was three, 1-foot long claws that sprang up from each hand. This man had saved his son and his wife's lives, and he would never forget that.

But enough with the flashbacks Cable thought, back to the business at hand. He snuck up to the perimeter fence watching for any cameras. <Now is the time to make your move, Cable ... can't let him down after what he di.....will do.> He drew from behind his back his trusty gun, <Here we go!> and fired, running through what used to be a fence with surprising speed. <There it is> he thought, <that's were Logan is at.> He had done his homework. That and being a telepath he could sense the presence and thoughts of the guards guarding him. However Wolverine was one of only three non-telepathic people, Gambit and Sabretooth being the others, that could completely hide their presence from the strongest of telepathy.

Inside The Building-

"Man, how did I ever get assigned this job?"

"You were too good."

"Yeah right." he replied in a sarcastic tone. <Guarding some freak monster, some reward for being a loyal servant to his master. To be honest the thing scared him. Middle of the night and instead of being at home with his wife, he was here.> Two men, both armed. They were sitting in front of a cage. In a armored shed outside was more guards. They knew they were safe but the monster still scared them even if he was behind re-enforced titanium bars.

They felt the explosion before they heard it, as they were thrown across the shed. Cable entered only a split second after the explosion. They had to get out fast, and he knew it. Immediately, he found the keys right where his contact said they would be. <Now let's hope they haven't changed the code. 76574193.> The bars lowered. Cable saw the beast coming at him with fury in its eyes. Half a second before the beast hit him with his claws, Cable fired. The beast still flung himself into Cable but he was able to avoid any serious damage. However the monster was not through yet and Cable realized that he need a lot more tranquilizer. He shot at him several times until the beast did not move. Quickly Cable, with the beast on his back, were on their way out, blasting the reinforcements as they went. Cable ran as if there was no tomorrow, which if he didn't make it out there might not be for him.

"Sir," a young officer said after rudely busting into the General's office.

"What is it, Sergeant?"

"It's operation Warrior X."

"What!?"

"Sir, he's gone."

"What do you mean gone?"

"He has escaped, Sir."

"How in the blazes did you let our most precious weapon escape? Listen I want you to get our boys after him, and track him down. I want that boy back alive. Got it?"

"Yes Sir!" he said as he turned and left.

"We already lost all of the Weapon X projects; we can't afford to lose Warrior X."

"Good job Cable, you got him here." said Reed Richard.

"Good job? Ha! If I hadn't been there to bail him out!" replied Ben Grimm.

"That's enough Ben" Reed said, noticing Cable's grip on his gun tighten. "Tony Stark's here and Bruce Banner just arrived. Let's hope this works."
